Dd and I had such a good day today. Our homeschool experience is really beginning to change for the better. We are in a unit study for Space, The Frontier, at the moment and are learning about black holes, gravity, and star formation. She is fascinated by the sky, both day and night, and this unit has peaked her interest in exploring the world around her even more. We are learning about the power of God's spoken Word, and when He said "Let there be..." Dd finds this awesome, and is eager to learn more.
I am finding so much joy in teaching her with less restraint! And because I am more relaxed, what she used to find a chore, is now becoming something she not only wants to do, but is exited about! Ithink that I'm learning as much as she is!
Blessings! "Then God said, "Let great lights appear in the sky to seperate the day from the night. Let them mark off the seasons, days and years. Let theses lights in the sky shine down on the Earth." And that is what happened. God made two great lights, the sun and the moon-the larger one to govern the day, and the smaller one to govern the night. he also made the stars. God set these lights in the sky to light the Earth, to govern the day and the night, and to seperate the light from darkness. And God saw that it was good." Genesis 1:14-18 New Living Translation. |
