Blessed to be Homeschool3ks
Nov. 29, 2005 - Tuesday

Today started with me doing the dishes.   And then i made oatmeal for the kids.  Then J and S sat and played quietly and Z sat next to me while i read from Chronicals of Narnia.  We skipped the The Magicians Nephew and went to The Witch and the wardrobe ... Now we are realy curious to what we missed so were thinking of stopping where were at and going back to The Magicians Nephew.  Then the kids brought out a bunch of books from the book shelf and we just sat and read read read.  Then we started Math and English.  We had fun.  J gave me a hard time about finishing his Math.  But he finished it and did well.  Z is learning about lcm and gcf's in Math.  J is learning multiplication and four digit add and sub.  S is adding.  J and S are doing phonics and Z is doing grammer for English.  I have them practice writing...Z is practicing  cursive and J is too and S is practicing printing.   We started our advent lessons/activities. http://www.mtviewnaz.org/advent/Advent.html That basically was our day.  God has been realy good to us and we are eager to move .  DH found boxes today and I will start packing tomorrow.   God has been teaching us and many others I've spoken to, to put our trust in HIM and not in our stuff.  Three families I know have been drastically changed, turned upside down for various reasons, to various degrees...having to leave the comfort of there home and adjust to smaller homes and less(or none) incomes and less everything but at the very same time God is transforming us(yes we are one of the families...lol)  there more of God in our lives..a deeper walk.  Purpose.  We are all being refined and taught to store up our treasures in heaven.  We are all servants and called to serve.  God has created so many oportunities for us to serve so Im learning to be instant in season.  Its not been easy and having to move twice within three months is not easy but my family is so much closer to the Lord.  I know we will get organized with our life again and it something to look forward to.  The kids will learn so much from all of this.  My hope is they learn that God is faithful and merciful and wonderful..HE gave us the greatest gift of all ...Our savior JESUS CHRIST!!  Have a blessed Wednesday!  Remember to look to our Lord not our stuff.  lol
