Content in His light ...

Saturday, July 5, 2008 .. on the mend ..

4:37 p.m. ADT

What a yucky bug that has been for poor Eden (and me being the clean-up crew :( ).  It was a good 18 hours of emptying out and she is finally beginning to keep crackers, water, and some grapes down.  Still the complaint of a sore tummy and needing to constantly on you so absolutely nothing else has been accomplished in two days.  What else can you do but enjoy the snuggle time, no sense stressing out that things aren't getting done!  (I'm a slow learner!).

Bob and Tanis flew out to the cabin this afternoon to commence the Commercial Fishing week which begins Sunday 6a and is schedule to close Monday at 6 p.m.  The word is that the fish are beginning to arrive so we can only hope that this will be a better week.  Though we go expecting the blessing of 2 fish and anything more is an abundance and I give it back to the LORD in praises and glory.

We did watch the 11:30 p.m. fireworks on the City dock in front of the house, but a very mellow night for our house being some what under quarantine :)  Those who had planned to enjoy the porch were phoned and were smart enough to keep their distance until it's solidly passed.  I'll be keeping her home from Church tomorrow morning to protect the nursery too... and that means the congregation has a weeks break from my singing and stage fright!  We'll be back at the Shop tomorrow from 1p-8p.

I've built Eden a quarantine tent on the sofa at the Fly shop that should keep her inside and others out.  She loves it, "her Fort" where she can watch movies or take cat naps while she recoups .. and it allows me some catch up time and the ability to welcome those who arrive through the door.
