Lots of Kids

Being pregnant with number 7 has brought out many comments about large families. From folks using the term "poppin' them out" to the look of disgust when they are told that I already have six, it's not really fun hearing what people think about having more than the typical 1.9 children.

So I decided to read some articles that would encourage me to keep walking the path of letting God be in charge of this (and every) area of my life.

Here are the links to some of my favorites:

Hi,

Just wanted to thank you and tell you how encouraging it was to see you had linked to the articles on our website. (I'm the author of heartsforfamily). I'm thrilled about the way the Lord uses all of our burdens, passions, etc. to encourage people all across the world. By the way, I'm very pregnant with number seven too! Couldn't be more excited!

I'm looking forward to browsing through your blog!

I love the title of Rick Boyer's book

"Yes, They're ALL Ours!"

Big families are super cool. I only have three and don't think I have enough time to get a big family the "natural way". I am almost 37.

Great articles and great thoughts! I'm pregnant with #7 too (although, 3 of ours are adopted) and we've had a number of opportunities to witness about how we feel about children already. I already added you to my friends because it looks like we have a lot in common! Thanks again!

I'm due with number 4 - our oldest is 5 and I'm amazed at how many people comment on the size of our family - it's like I inadvertantly stumbled into this new "class" of motherhood.

I get that all the time too and I'm only on number 4 of course I thought it was only becuase they see me looking very pg and having 17 months old twins. Most people think I am crazy, I wonder sometimes if there not right....but I figure if I am than thats the way god made me :-)

BTW at homeschool convention I had the opportunity to talk to a mom of 13...what a blessing she was.
