Organize your desk properly
and you'll have your own assistant! Organized does not mean neat automatically,
some very messy desks are very well organized and likewise some very neat
desks are very unorganized. Time is the element we are
all trying to beat. Wasted time = wasted productivity, money, effort and
energy. Use this checklist to rethink how you organize your desk and make
some changes today! Don't put it off. Print this article and check off
as you make the changes. 1- Get rid of the general
IN box. We tend to dump everything
here and it gets forgotten, we also feel overwhelmed as this box grows
and grows. 2-Replace it with the URGENT
ACT NOW, NEED MORE INFO, 3- As things come in put them
right away in the appropriate baskets, boxes above. 4- Start your day with the
URGENT ACT NOW box and do those things first. The morning is where you
are most alert and everyone tends to be at their desk, so if you need
to make some calls to people, get signatures, etc. you'll usually find
them at their desk in the morning. 5- Keep the NEED MORE INFO
items for after lunch, where you can take more time to examine, ponder
and review problems and how to get them solved. 6- Keep the REVIEW LATER for
the last thing in the afternoon. It will save you loads of time. By using these simple method and implementing this change right away you will: A- Become more organized and save time B- Never lose out on something urgent because it's lost in your inbox. C- Use the different times of your day to their full advantage D- Save time and money and increase your productivity Angie J.Rose Christian Homemaking |

What's getting more rare than the giant pandas of China? It's the sit
down family mealtime together. In today's high speed world of cellular
phones, dot coms and busy schedules, sitting down together at mealtime,
unrushed in each other's company can be quite a challenge. Here is a list
of ten things you can do to make family mealtime quality time. Everyone has different schedules, but I'm sure there is at least one
meal, breakfast, lunch or dinner, where everyone in your family can sit
down together. The week features on average 21 meals. The odds are that at least one out of those twenty-one can be spent
together. I remember an especially busy traveling period my husband went through.
The only meal we really all enjoyed together was Saturday morning breakfast
every two weeks. The kids remember these times because we made them special.
So instead of dwelling on the twenty meals we did not share, we dwelt
on the one we did share. 1-Do not answer the phone (let the answering machine take the calls) 2-If possible have everyone involved in some aspect of the meal preparation
and setting of the table. 3-Everyone should sit together until the last one finishes eating. 4-Take a moment to give thanks. 5-Thank the cook and assistants for their efforts 6-Make clearing the table, and cleaning the dishes just as much fun
an event 7-Have everyone take turns sharing at least one thing of importance
to them. 8-Look and listen, be attentive to others 9-Keep loaded discussions for special meetings time. 10-Keep to positive comments about each member. If this is new to your family, don't expect a scene from the "Waltons"
right away. Some relationships may be undergoing a testing period. So
if your teenager thinks this is a dorky idea at first, persevere, they'll
come around. Even if they seem not to enjoy it at first, they will learn
to like it. Especially if they get to share about something they hold
dear. We like to hold hands and say grace before our meals. That creates a loving and thankful atmosphere. Make meal times a stress free time. Angie J.Rose Christian Homemaking |

What is a Titus 2 woman? The expression titus 2 comes from the
book in the bible named Titus chapter 2. In this chapter
Christians are given some helpful lifestyle guidelines. There are guidelines for men in the first part and then for women in the last part of this chapter. The bible honors homemakers, moms, and values their ministry as very important and essential to society's very survival. Often when people ask me what I do and I answer ''I'm a homemaker'' They are stunned and answer something like,'' You mean you stay home with the kids?'' I have to admit I am at times tempted to answer,'' No, I have decided to stay home and take care of my hamsters, birds, fish.'' There would seem to be more understanding for the care and nurture of animals than our own children sometimes! I stay home because I love my vocation of homemaker and mom. It's an honor to serve the Lord as such. Power to the Titus 2 woman!!! Angie J.Rose Christian Homemaking |

Traveling with your family can be great fun if you are prepared. The
first thing you should prepare is your home. Often people don't give
much thought to preparing their home before they travel. In this web
site you will find invaluable safety and theft proofing tips: http://www.ncpc.org/publications/online.php The next thing people often fail to prepare for is the weather they'll be having where they are going. Although you can never be exactly sure, you can, with a little help have a good indication of what kind of weather to expect and whether there will be flight delays. Our suggestion for checking these important conditions: http://www.weather.com/activities/travel Another important detail that has been known to cause near divorces is proper directions! Looking for a map and having a hard time finding it? Try this link: http://www.mapquest.com They will even give you the driving directions you need from point A to B! Plus you can print out the maps, there are zoom in and zoom out features too Tight budget? Why not travel to your own city or town but as a tourist. We did this one year and it was great! We went to all the tourists locations (many of which we had never seen.) We even took pictures and mailed our friends and family postcards! The grass isn't always greener on the other side&ldots; You can swap with friends and family a week or two (hmmm...where was that phone number of my third cousins removed living in France?). Going camping can be fun and less expensive too. Here is an extensive checklist of things you'll need for camping as well as a first aid kit checklist: . http://www.lovetheoutdoors.com/camping/Checklists.htm Need to exchange some currency? http://www.xe.com/ucc If you are traveling with children, you'll want to review this very helpful site: http://www.tinytravelers.net And finally this lovely article on 10 travel tips when traveling with teens (written by, you guessed it, a teen) http://www.kidtravels.com/tenteentips.htm Have a safe trip! The following article is a sample from 101 Christmas Scrapbooking
Ideas by me; a book featuring 101 layout ideas, patterns, templates, clip
art and much more. Reprinted with permission.
Materials Needed:
There are four basic
steps to the decoupage scrapbooks. 1- Choose a theme Here we are discussing
a Christmas theme. So the colors, wrapping paper, clip art, decorative
napkins or magazine images to cut should compliment the theme.2- Cut or
tear desired images Cut more than you
will need, you can always store the extra in a box for another project.
However, if you are already gluing things on and you are missing images
it is much more work to drop that and go hunting for images. 3- Glue them on This is the most
important step. Make sure your scrapbook cover or binder is clean and
dry before you glue anything on it. Work with the cover
open and facing you. Apply decoupage medium on the images and not the
cover. Then place each image where you would like it to be. This way you
can layer them or keep some of the cover uncovered if you like. 4- Let dry and apply
one more glue layer Once the cover is
done let it dry one - two days. Then if you like do the inside cover. Once dry apply an
even overall layer to the whole binder/scrapbook cover and let dry again. Your decoupage scrapbook
is ready to fill with your favorite pictures of the Holidays.

Romantic decorating is about setting a mood, rather than specific furniture or accessories. What is a romantic mood? There are four main areas that convey romance: 1. Lighting When you think of romance you think of subtle lighting and of course candlelight. Nothing quite says romance better than beautiful candles. You can go for one single long tapered candle or a dozen thick candles. The key is matching function and beauty. Candles should be used as a supplement to muted lighting. 2. Scent What is really romantic is a lovely fragrance that permeates the room gently. You can combine the lighting with scent in using the wonderful new scented candles available. If you are not keen on using candles for scent, there are potpourri simmering pots which also work nicely. Available on the market are the plug in fragrance defusers, but I would like make sure I try some before any special event, some tend to smell like cheap perfume. 3.Comfort Add comfort to your surroundings. The best and easiest way to do so is to purchase throw pillows. These compliment your usual furniture with comfort, color and are available in almost any size and color. You also add an area rug to wood floors to create a cosy spot. 4. Music Music really sets the tone for romance. Classical is always a favorite, but as long as the music selection has a melodic and slow tempo it will be more relaxing and enjoyable. If you are unsure about this area, most local music store personnel will be willing to help to select something romantic. Sometimes, a favorite song is romantic just because of the memories it brings to mind. Angie J.Rose Christian Homemaking |

Resources for Christian homemakers
are becoming easier to access with the internet. As a Christian
homemaker myself I can tell you that there is a huge difference
between housekeepers or homemakers. A hired maid can be a housekeeper but it takes a mother, a wife and love to be a homemaker. Christ as the head of your home That is the most important difference between regular homemakers and Christian homemakers. When you are a Christian homemaker, Christ is the head of your home and as a result everything you do is colored by His love, His service, His will for your life. ''Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established. And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.'' Proverbs 24:3,4 Christian homemakers are firstly Christians, and lastly homemakers but always precious and rare. Angie J.Rose Christian homemaking |
