If you make a match, say the word aloud in Spanish.Or print two copies of the cards and play "Go Fish." Do you have "un perro (the dog)?"Or just do flashcards. Spread the cards on the table and ask, "Where is un gato (the cat)?"We have recently purchased a Spanish dictionary for my daughter who takes a high school Spanish class. My elementary age son loves to be allowed the dictionary and look up "the word of the day." He picks out a word from the dictionary and then we pronounce it, copy it and its meaning, and then illustrate it. This makes a cool "Spanish workbook."
