I began this blog to create an on going yearbook of our homeschool chronicling our highs & lows with photo's and journaling. Through the past few years I have really enjoyed getting to know so many homeschool moms and their families. Being a Homeschoolblogger has been both fun and encouraging. Today is our darling daughter's 14th birthday! She is our oldest and only daughter and I am sure thankful she is part of our family!
We love her because...
1. She is our first blessing from God, a healthy, baby girl - just what we were hoping for!
2. She's spunky
3. She is a good big sister
4. She has compassion for others
5. She's smart
6. She is a talented piano player
7. She always shares a good joke when she hears one.
8. She's old enough to babysit!
9. She can wash dishes like nobody's business.
10. She can bake a mean brownie
11. She will get me Ibuprophen and a glass of water when I need it
12. She likes shopping!
13. She's a great friend
14. She's not afraid to share her faith

We are so glad God blessed our family with a young lady like you!
My husband has a tradition of bringing her a rose for each year we have been blessed with her, since her first birthday. The roses vary in color from year to year but the number is always as many as years she is old.
She gets the day off from (home) school!
I'll be busy making her favorite dinner for our family and 3 of her friends. Breaded chicken, mashed potatoes and biscuits along with a homemade ice cream cake. Her dear brother suggested we use "trick" candles (ssshhh)! It's going to be a great day.
