I began this blog to create an on going yearbook of our homeschool chronicling our highs & lows with photo's and journaling. Through the past few years I have really enjoyed getting to know so many homeschool moms and their families. Being a Homeschoolblogger has been both fun and encouraging. Please make yourself comfortable and enjoy getting to know us and how we learn at home!
Last weekend, Kayla entered two of her charcoal drawings into a regional homeschooler's art show and won a second place ribbon! These are pictures of her art:
Great Job, Kayla!
(Those are photographs of her work so they aren't showing up very well!)
I'd love to know what you did to develop your daughter's art talent. My daughter (almost 9) loves to draw but I don't know what to do to move her beyond just pencils and paper. I have checked out a number of drawing books from the library and she is starting to adding shading and depth to her pictures but I just don't feel I have the talents to guide her in her gift. Any advice you have would be appreciated.
