Beware of Structured Curriculum
You might wish to look into other methods before saddling your young child with a structured curriculum. In my long experience (children 20-25 now) it seemed that a structured curriculum often caused burn out and that the children did not retain anything that they learned that way. A more beneficial method is literature based with lots of reading aloud and then having your child tell back.

This is so true. I wish I would have known this my first year. I bought a whole prepackaged curriculum that was our worst year every. Now we do a hodge podge of things. I still buy some curriculum but I use it more as a fill in and guide instead of following it only.

I really agree with you on this - I had to use a very structured curriculum with my children here where we live in our current circumstances, but they do not love learning....! ~Colleen~
