Where In The WORLD Are We?

6th century church

Thursday, we visited a church that was discovered in '86 beneath the sand. It was built in the 6th century. It was amazing! We found a lot of pottery pieces in the area that were from the 3rd or 4th century.

Wow! I envy you! I have always had a love of archeology and you are right there in the land of antiquities!!! It takes my breathe away when I go to museums and stand infront of beautiful and perfect and ancient objects. Even when it is just pieces of pottery. Incredible!

That must have been such an amazing moment for you and your family in a world where that seems to be so removed for this. I have a close friend who is speaking at a Saudi place of worship tomorrow and sharing his personal experiences. If you get a chance, talk to the Father on his behalf.

Thanks

That looks so neat. I am sure it was fun to explore and hard to comprehend how old that really is.

I enjoy reading about how things are different where you are and the beliefs of the Muslims. I'm glad there was no "oil leaking" from your car. Scary stuff.

Blessings,
tracy
