Camel Spiders

My friend Kinley from www.homeschoolblogger.com/passionforpurple asked me if I had ever seen a camel spider. I had never even heard of them before. When I looked them up it made my stomach turn a little bit.

This is a camel spider. I know they're here in Saudi, but I've never see one and I hope I never will. They run at 10mph and they bite! And very aggressive! Not lethal to humans even though there are stories that they are!

Why I looked I will never know. I now am sweaty and shaky!! That is the only animal I am afraid of -- completely afraid of! Even photos!

I'm actually glad that I know about them. It's better to be aware! It sounds like they come at you very fast. We've been out in the desert at night and even thought about camping there. I'm sure we would have seen these if we would have looked. Creepy!! I'm just glad that I found out that the stories about them aren't true. I can handle the idea of a bite that won't kill me. I would definitely rather they bit me than one of my boys. So, it's good to know.

I've seen pictures on the internet of those spiders. Very creepy! Sometimes, you just have to wonder, "What exactly was God thinking when He made *that* creature?" LOL!

Ewww! I HATE spiders! I'd really hate seeing that coming toward me at 10 mph!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! : )
