Here are some pictures from the museum. Rocks and the big one is a meteorite that fell in the desert!
Here is a skeleton of a very ancient elephant. Saudi Arabia does not have elephants. In fact, the year that Prophet Muhammad was born is known as "the year of the elephants" because the Persians invaded Saudi on elephants that year. They were not successful, by the way.
And here are some animal pictures that we have seen around:
The Bedouins are nomads that travel around the desert. They come into town from time to time with their animals in the back of their Toyota!
We saw six of these crabs crawling around on rocks in the Red Sea!
Some kittens we saw in the historical district of Jeddah.
We found these behind a gas station!
I had to post this again! He was one of the great highlights of our trip!!

Yes, biker week is not peaceful. It's a huge money maker for the casinos so they are not going to ever quit despite the fact it invades the town I am in (across the river). Sigh.
Great pictures. How neat for your children to experience all this.
Thank you for answering my question about you visiting/living in all these places. I'm amazed that you can get around to all these lands to easy. How has it been moving around so much on your children? Do you ever make it back to the US to see your family?
I've been away for several days so not blogging too much, trying to get caught up now.
We're a homeschooling family who loves to travel. We have 4 boys. They are 10,8,6, and 4. My husband works at a university and we're able to travel all over. Can you guess where we are now?
