Where In The WORLD Are We? - Treats

About Me:

We're a homeschooling family who loves to travel. My husband, Rob, works at a university and this has enabled us to see many different countries. We have 4 boys. They are Robby-11, Justin-10, Alex-7, and Connor-5. I write this blog from the perspective of a Catholic, American woman adjusting to living in Saudi Arabia. I know that other people have been curious about what it is like for a Western woman here. So, I am very honest in sharing my own experiences and feelings about it. Sometimes, I do get it wrong and I do appreciate comments if my perceptions are incorrect. One of the reasons I love living here is that I learn something new every day. I love answering questions too, so if you have any please feel free to leave a comment or email me.

Treats

The other day, I made my husband's favorite cookies- oatmeal apple. We all ate too much and had a couple left over, so we had ds9 run them over to our Iranian friend across the street. He immediately reciprocated with these:

Photobucket They were so good! They are a delicacy in Iran. This kind gentleman had invited my husband for dinner a couple of weeks ago and dh had loved these, so that's why he gave us some more. Needless to say, they were gone in an instant!! So much for trying to save on calories by giving away treats! LOL

And on the cleaning front: Photobucket Yes, he did! Ds11 just came in the kitchen while I was doing dishes and starting cleaning out the fridge and now it is spotless.! Saved me so much time. Plus, I heard him mention something about fungus on the bottom of a drawer. Glad I didn't have to deal with that!  When he was 7, I used to tell him that if he saw something that needed to be done, that he should just do it. Well, this resulted in him cutting a big chunk of his baby brother's hair and then, saying, "I saw something that needed to be done!" My mom told me I deserved that one!! But, I am glad that it has finally paid off! LOL

We didn't have a whole lot going on for July 4th. I did a lapbook with the little kids. They loved the attention.

I woul like to wish my good friend Julia a Happy 18th birthday!! She is the one that designed my new blog template. I love it!!
