Where In The WORLD Are We? - Halloween and Puppet Show Pics

About Me:

We're a homeschooling family who loves to travel. My husband, Rob, works at a university and this has enabled us to see many different countries. We have 4 boys. They are Robby-11, Justin-10, Alex-7, and Connor-5. I write this blog from the perspective of a Catholic, American woman adjusting to living in Saudi Arabia. I know that other people have been curious about what it is like for a Western woman here. So, I am very honest in sharing my own experiences and feelings about it. Sometimes, I do get it wrong and I do appreciate comments if my perceptions are incorrect. One of the reasons I love living here is that I learn something new every day. I love answering questions too, so if you have any please feel free to leave a comment or email me.

Halloween and Puppet Show Pics

Posted on Oct. 26, 2009 at 2:52 PM in Holidays

Saturday, I went to Panda and bought 4 gallons of ice cream so that they could decorate the leftover containers for their Halloween candy. Justin and Alex decorated theirs right away with tissue paper and black marker. Very simple, but will do the trick. Of course they didn't eat 4 gallons of ice cream in one day. What mother would let their children do that?!! Not, me. Nope.

And we carved our pumpkin at 7 am because the boys just couldn't wait any longer. We are yet to carve faces in them though. We just dug out the pulp and seeds. Photobucket Photobucket

We don't wear shirts when we play in the pumpkins. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

We also made some construction megaphones for Catechism. The boys loved doing this. They were supposed to yell about how they feel about God and their family in these. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

The Tikki Tikki Tembo puppet show went so well. It was so funny. It was really good for Robby. He learned how to emphasize certain words to add humor and drama to the story. It was great!!
