Lifepacs.....
I like them. Although I don't know that I LOVE them. My daughter seems to. She's easy to please though!! I also have Miquon Math......which I like too. I already have LA Lifepac for next year......just trying to figure out what's best for each other subject.
Right now we are reading 'A Cricket in Times Square'. It's very cute.

2 times in one week?
The world must be spinning backwards!!!
I'm trying to keep up.
We're about to go read a chapter in our latest book....'The Little Princess'....I love that book!
I bought my 1st grade curriculum....the curriculum commando was totally not working for me....or them. I'll buy 2nd and 9th grade soon.......I'm just looking for the best deal! My dream is Lifepac for 2nd grade and Switched on Schoolhouse for 9th.
Any suggestions?

Sweet & Spicy Kielbasa
1/2 cup brown sugar -- packed
3 tablespoons spicy mustard
1/2 small onion -- finely chopped
1 pound turkey kielbasa -- cut in 2" chunks
12 perogies
Combine brown sugar, mustard, & onion in crockpot, add
kielbasa, stirring to coat evenly. Cover and cook on
low heat 2-1/2 - 3 hours, stirring occasionally
During the last hour of cooking, add Pierogies right to the pot. I just baste them and mix
them right in.

Curiculum-less?
Has anyone ever gone Curriculum commando?
I'm trying that with my K and my 1st grader. I'm gathering stuff of the internet and from books I've collected throughout the year at yard sales, walmart and dollar stores.
Just wondering if anyone else had tried this......and if it worked?

Back to blogging, I hope to be anyway.

Bad bad bad blogger award goes to....
ME!!!!
Maybe I can vow to do better......Maybe.....
Things are busy here.....the kids aren't as far along as I'd like.....mostly my 7th grader.....in fact, I'm thinking we'll just do 7th grade continued next year......I don't think it's homeschooling (as this is the first year)......I think it's rather his ADD and my lack of skill to deal with it and work WITH it.
My pregnancy is going well. I'm already 22 weeks along. Isn't that something how fast time can go?
Bloggingly yours,
Mel

And in reality......I'm rarely at a loss for words.....lol
