Has anyone ever gone Curriculum commando?

I'm trying that with my K and my 1st grader.  I'm gathering stuff of the internet and from books I've collected throughout the year at yard sales, walmart and dollar stores.

Just wondering if anyone else had tried this......and if it worked?

Back to blogging, I hope to be anyway.

I am with you right now......... I am using FIAR, which I had on hand, and am using other resources I have and the Internet. It's time consuming, but (almost) free.

How are things going with baby Emily?

This is the way I homeschool. I pick up curriculum that looks like it would interest my children or work with their learning styles at the used book store, and out of their free bin. (We have an awesome used book store, and their free bin regularly has classic books, curriculum, etc.) This is our third year and it has worked great for us every year.
