I decided to test the boys on their reading basically because I wanted to see what we still needed to work on. And I have to admit I was curious as to what their reading level was. After all it is nice to know you aren't ruining their lives by homeschooling them. I was very pleased with the results. Peewee rated at a 5.3 and Pumpkin rated at 9.3. Peewee really astonished me because at the beginning of last year he didn't even know all his alphabet. He has come such a long way. Pumpkin has done really well this year also he was only at 6th grade reading level at the beginning of the year. They were pretty excited about it also. It's so nice for them to see the result of their hard work.
Though I will admit there is still room for improvement and a definite pattern of mistakes. This was also not a formal test. I think they are doing great and this momma is proud. Now if I could only get Peewee to read to others like he does for me and himself.

I found a great oil at Wal-Mart the other day. It is Equate Body Oil Softening. They say it is comparable to Neutrogena's Sensual Moisturizer Body Oil. Anyway, it doesn't have any glycerin in it. It is mainly Sesame Oil, and it works really well and smells great. I was suprised by how well it works even in my hot, dry climate! Just thought I'd pass it on.
Have a great day!
