Magic G – you’ll need white paper, white candle, water color paint, paint brushes, cup of water.
Before giving the child the paper print the letter G on the paper using the candle, without the child seeing. Then let the child paint the whole paper using the watercolors. They should see the magic Gg appear.
Glitter G
Print out the G template. Cut it out and let them trace it onto a piece of construction paper. Then let them decorate it with glue and glitter.
Garden of G’s – you’ll need construction paper, scissors, and glue.
Cut out grass from construction paper and several g’s. Then let them glue the bottom part of the grass to a large sheet of construction paper. Have them glue stems (you could use straws, pipe cleaners or construction paper for the stems) and leaves to the letter g’s. Then they can glue these into the grass.
Game Piece G
You know all those odd and end game pieces you have laying around the house or am I the only one with those? LOL I thought I’d gather those up and a nice sturdy piece of cardboard. I will cut a large G out of the cardboard and let him paint it. Then let him glue all those wonderful odds and ends onto the G.
Stencil G’s
I have a G stencil and I’m going to let him use it to paint G’s on a poster board. Then we’ll cut G’s out of a magazine and glue them on the same paper. To make a 2 dimensional G collage.
Color Black Activities:
Make a bat necklace.

Make a black cat hand puppet
You could make a checkerboard. Let them paint the squares that should be black. You can make checkers out of clay and then they could paint those when dry.
Cut out varying sizes of rectangles from black construction paper. Have the child glue them on a different color of construction paper to make a silhouette of a city landscape.
