Have you ever found something that was just what you were looking for?  Well I did the other day.  I found this really cool book.

Now your probably wondering why this book is such a find for me.  Let me explain.  See my son was not loving the animal report forms and I was trying to think of an idea to do it differently.  I keep thinking he loves doing his nature journal but how would I lay one out for animals.  Well that's where this book comes in.  The pages are set up like a journal.  TA-DA!  Here's a couple photos of the inside.

I saw that and thought this is perfect.  So I bought one.  They had several on all kinds of different animals.  I brought it home and showed it to Peewee.  He is all excited about doing science again.  And now I have a cool guide for us to follow as a format.  Each section also has a pocket that holds a puzzle for him to put together.  This book is inspiring all kinds of ideas and has added new life to our science studies.  I know how silly to get so excited about a book, but I love finding stuff that will add a breathe of fresh air to our homeschooling.
