Christmas Cards

Last night I finished up the last blanket and I made Christmas cards.  Finishing up the last blanket turned out to be harder than I expected due to this.

Zac kept jumping up on the material and rolling around trying to get my attention.  When I finally finished the blanket I moved onto the cards.  Here's some pics of them.

Here's the inside of a couple.  I had to cover the names because I already signed them.

They are made from recycled Christmas cards.  I like to add a Bible verse to each.  This year I picked Luke 2:11.  I have some Christmas stamps I use to jazz it up a bit.

This morning my sis stopped by and saw the blankets I had made for the kids.  She asked if I was making her one for Christmas because she sure would like one.  I guess I'll be making her one too.  At least I don't have to try and guess what to get her. LOL

My sister knows me so well.  She stopped over to give me my Christmas gift because she couldn't wait to Christmas.  She bought me a cookbook entitled "Depression Era Recipes".  There is all kinds of recipes in it from your basics to making soap.  I can't wait to dig into it.  I love getting practical gifts.  Thanks sis.

You're doing great with your Christmas projects. They look great. I don't even know if I'll send Christmas cards out this year. I feel so overwhelmed that I just feel like cutting out anything that I can. I usually make Christmas photo collages though and dh wants them done this year too. I guess I'll find the energy!

God bless,
Tammy

I really like the cards! and your blankets also. I have made one of these before and they are so easy to make!
I have noticed that you still have a link to my blog, but I had cancelled after the summer. Sorry to not have kept you up to date. I have just started a new one (can't seem to shake the addiction, lol) here it is:

The Christmas cards you made is a great idea and very practical too! That's wonderful you all went to get a tree. We were going to do the same. The day we were going to go, it was freezing rain and didn't want to wait another weekend. So we set out the artificial tree...sigh.
Have a Merry Christmas!

I just love reading your blog.

I love it!
I'm new to HS. I started on the 3rd. It was a birthday present to me. I get to have more time with my loved ones!
I wish I had people who knew me well enough to get me some depression era cookbooks. (or any other not so frugal gift)

Your sis sounds great!
