Now in case you’re wondering why there seems to be a lack of fresh vegetables, I already have a couple heads of lettuce and fresh spinach in the fridge.  Plus I still have a bunch of things frozen and canned from the garden this summer.  I have bell peppers in the freezer but I cut them up before I froze them.  Dh requested stuffed peppers so I broke down and bought some fresh ones.  I probably could have saved some money by buying a generic mayo and paper plates but I’m sorry there is nothing like the tangy zip of miracle whip J  As for the paper plates, I don’t want to use foam but the cheaper ones just don’t make it from the counter to the table with anything on them.    Oh I also have the basic staples already in the pantry like flour, cornmeal, and so on.

I'll post a menu plan for all this soon.

Looks good to me! Looks like you got some great deals on meats? So you are just a monthly shopper? I try to do shopping bi-monthly so that I am not using all of the leftovers of dh's check. I would like to see what you come up with for menus. Are you going to do a month's worth of menus or just a week at a time? Is your family a meat and potatoes at all dinners type family or can you do meatless type meals for dinner? Here we are meat and potatoes and even doing breakfast for dinner is not my dh's idea of a dinner meal so it doesn't get done.

Looking forward to see how you handle what you purchased for the month.

No wonder you hate grocery shopping!!! My mom used to go once a month because of the distance into town. I go every Monday after cutting Sunday coupons from the Cronicle.
