Plant an egg – use a clean egg shell with the top removed. Fill with potting soil and add some seeds of your choice and watch it grow.
Carnation –
You’ll need a white carnation, clean clear glass jar, water, and food coloring. Pour water in jar add food coloring to turn the water the color desired (you will want to make the water dark). Make a fresh cut on the carnation and place in jar. Watch what happens next. This experiment takes some time.
You could also do the classic egg-drop experiment. This is where they construct some type of package to deliver a raw egg safely to the ground. You could let them be as creative as they want or you could place restrictions on the type of things they can use. When everyone has completed their project you can test them by dropping them from a ladder or a second story window. Suggestion place plastic or tarps in the drop zone for easy clean up.

Duck races – this is a race where the participants grab their ankles and race to the finish line. If a player lets go of his ankles they must start over. The first one to the finish line with out letting go of their ankles is the winner.
Spoon walk – Everyone get a spoon and marshmallow or boiled egg. The object is to use the spoon to carry the egg or marshmallow to the finish line without dropping it. The older children can hold the spoon in their mouths, while the younger children can use their hands. The first one that makes it to the finish without dropping it is the winner.
Roll the egg – Players must use their nose to roll a hardboiled egg to the finish line. For added fun you could add obstacles for them to race around.
Easter egg bean bag toss - Use a large piece of cardboard and cut out 3 egg shapes. Paint around the shapes with 3 different colors. Prop up the cardboard and use bean bags to toss at the eggs. The object is to get as many bean bags through the egg holes as possible.
Pass the egg – this is a relay race. Takes at least 4 players, one standing at each end. The kids take a plastic egg and tuck it under their chin and race to the other end and pass it to their partner without dropping. Who then races back carrying the egg under their chin.
Duck, Duck, Bunny – Just like Duck, Duck, Goose except you say Bunny.
Easter Egg Race – You’ll need 2 different colors of dyed hardboiled eggs, spoons, and 2 baskets. Line the Easter eggs up into 2 lines separated by color. You’ll want to space them apart at least a foot between each one. The teams’ players then take turns using their spoon to collect and egg of their color and return it to the basket. The first team to get all their eggs back to the basket wins.
Bunny tag – played just like tag except the kids must hop like bunnies. Any child that is caught not hopping becomes it.
Hopping down the bunny trail - Prepare a bunny trail by placing two lengths of rope on ground outside) or two lengths of tape on the carpet (inside). Arrange for both straight and curvy sections. Along the path, place baskets filled with plastic eggs. Provide each child with a small basket and encourage him to go hopping down the bunny trail. Along the way have him stop and pick up an egg from each basket to put in his own basket. After completing the trail once, the child can return to the start putting an egg back in each basket.
