Free Book downloads

Posted in Free Curriculum

©2008 JoAnn

I don't remember if I've told you about this site before or not but I'm going to tell you about it anyway. LOL  At this site you can download free books for free.  The thing I like about these books is that they are in a format that is easy to print and looks nice when they are bound.  They ask you for a form of identification to verify your identity.  If you choose to use a credit card you do not get charged.  This is the method I chose and have not received any charges.

Here are some titles I have downloaded:

Great Civil War Projects You Can Build Yourself

Great Ancient Egypt Projects You Can Build Yourself

Tools of Native Americans: a Kid's Guide to the History and Culture of the First Americans

Tools of Navigation: A Kid's Guide to the History and Science of Finding Your Way

Emma

Digital Photography Step-by-Step

The Complete Book of Drawing Techniques

Those are just some of the selections I've downloaded.  There are lots more.

So check them out here.

Free Life of a Tree

Posted in Free Curriculum

©2008 JoAnn

I found this link on another site, so I sent away for it.  I received it already.  I just ordered it last week.  It is a very nice packet.  It has large posters and smaller posters.  They include pictures of different types of seeds, leaves, and one that explains how to read the rings on a tree.  It has wonderful graphics and is easy to understand.  A must have for the nature lover.  I think the small posters would fit nicely in a nature notebook and make easy reference material.  Oh the possibilities!
