Driving for the victory

• Sep. 3, 2005 - Tag I'm it

Lotsapets sent me this tag too.

Are you following any special diet right now? If so, what?
Not really a special diet, but we are cutting down on carbs so it is more high protein.

What food do you love that others usually think is gross?
Escargot (and yes I know what they are).

How many magazines do you personally subscribe to?
4 that I subscribe to for me (Games,Limbaugh Letter, The Old Schoolhouse and NASCAR Scene).  3 that are gifts from my mom (Reader's Digest, World of Puzzles, and Math and Logic puzzles).  We get Sports Illustrated from a promotion from Best Buy and Homeschool Court with our HSLDA membership.  DH gets On The Water and the kids get Boys' Life, Kid's Discover (Big Bro), American Girl (Big Sis), Your Big Backyard (Little Bro) and Clubhouse JR (Little Sis).  Grandma pays for those for the kids.

What is your most favorite article of clothing, and how often do you wear it?
My most favorite is my M&M's #38 racing Jacket.  I wear it from October through May (depending on how early Spring is).   A friend of mine who met me last October almost didn't recognize me when I showed up without the jacket.  I have a couple of t-shirts I love too.  One has Tinkerbell on it and says "Moods subject to change without notice" and the other says "U.S. Marines When it absolutely, positively has to be destroyed overnight".  I wear Tinkerbell when I am in a weird mood (which is often) and I wear the Marines when I have a lot to do that day. I want to get a SEAL's t-shirt that says "The only easy day was yesterday" that I will wear when I feel like I need a little push.

Do either you or your husband still have clothes from High School or college hanging in your closet? If yes- do they still fit?
I have a few t-shirts from college and my colorguard letter jacket from high school. They all still fit though they are tighter than they were in college, but still do the job.  One of the t-shirts I got because the team I was on won Winter Carnival in 1985 and the other is a play on words.  I went to the University of Maine at Farmington, which used to be called Farmington State Normal School (teacher's colleges were called normal schools, but I have no idea why).  The shirt says "Univ. of Maine Farmington- Once we were normal".  DH doesn't have any clothes from highschool or college

What book are you reading right now?

Darrell Waltrip One on One.  It is a devotional by DW and Jay Carty.  It is really good if you are a race fan.

Name an odd thing you have on your kitchen or bathroom counter.
I can't really think of anything odd that is on the bathroom or kitchen counter.  On the breakfast bar (kind of a kitchen counter), we have so many weird things including curriculum, Boy Scout camp pictures and hairbrushes...don't ask.
