Driving for the victory

• Oct. 19, 2006 - From Genghis to Machu Picchu

We are going to an International Fair tomorrow and Big Brother and Big Sister have been making displays about Mongolia and Peru respectively.   So today I got to jump back and forth between Mongol hordes and the Incas.  It was interesting because along with globehopping, I had to figure out what to do with Little Brother and Sister.  They wanted to watch TV, but whenever the TV went on, the Big kids suddenly couldn't work anymore.  I kept the kids going and got Mongolia finished because along with the International Fair Big Brother was supposed to give a 5 minute speech about it tonight.  That got messed up and he didn't have to, but it is great that his whole project is done.

Tomorrow morning we are going to put Peru together and make a Pan Pipe out of PVC pipe (if I don't succeed in cutting off one of my fingers in the process).

I am so looking forward to the weekend to just sit, relax and watch NASCAR. We are paperclip racing this week and I love watching that.  Hopefully my DH won't have to work on Saturday, but I am not holding my breath.

Oh well, that's the way it goes.

Hope you had fun at the fair. I thought we might go for the first hour to watch even though we'd decided not to display. Well Tristan changed that, he woke up with a terrible cold! Hope you had fun and that you get a relaxing weekend after all that work!
