Relaxed Week

Well this week has been very relaxed.  We have been doing lots of fun Easter crafts and working on things to send the Grammy's and Pa for Easter.  We have been enjoying reading fun books from the library and getting some math work and writing done.  My little guy ( 3 1/2 ) is finally sleeping through the night!! woohoo (he went through a period of not wanting to sleep after he got up to potty in the middle of the night.) not fun!!!  My oldest has been eager to learn.  We went through a time when school work was a chore but now we have taken a new direction and he loves it.   I think there are many trying times when raising children but then God gives us a time of peace when everything goes right.  He renews our strength.  Thank goodness for that!!!! The past few days have been great.  I will enjoy it !!!!!!  Have a great evening!

I'm happy that Zach is sleeping through the night now. That makes for a good nights' sleep for you, which makes for a happy mommy! = ) Life is always better when mommy is happy...at least in this house. hee hee

Did you guys get a lot of snow the other day? You mentioned that it was snowing outside. We got a bit of a cold spell, but nothing too bad, no snow anyway. I can't wait for warmer weather so we can go outside and get our yard back in order...it's such a mess from the workers. Just yesterday one guy was here fixing a few things on the outside of the house and he parked in our driveway. No biggie, but when he went to leave he didn't back out, he backed up a little then drove off across our lawn. How disrespectful was that?!? It was totally not necessary - there was nothing in his way and the road was completely clear. He only had a pickup truck too, nothing big. Ugh...this is just an example of the stupidity we've had to endure lately.

Oh well, soon it's over. Have a happy day and say 'hi' to the boys! = )

It is nice when school work is not a chore. Those days seem rare around here right now. When my oldest (8ys) was younger it was a daily battle to do anything. Now he'll do it, sometimes complaining, but mostly just goofing off too much, or trying to get it done so fast that I can't see how he learns anything. My girl (6ys) has good days and bad days, but when she's really getting it, it's a delight. She loves that she's learning. I wish I could see that in the older one more. It's so cool. Congrats on the full night sleep. That's a lovely thing. Carrie

I've been catching up a bit on my blogging. Your site is terrific. I love all the pictures and reading about your exciting adventures. I will have to try the grape in a cup experiment. You're so active and creative with your children. It is apparent how much you enjoy being with your children.
