Alright I have stood by and watched our television sets turn into a big lesson on "Love" that I don't agree with! I have watched shows with to much violence and not done anything about it. Over the last few months  I can say that I have been pretty convicted over these things! I MUST take a stand for my Jesus! So as I found out about Madonna and what she is wanting to do I could not sit still any longer! I have read, searched and looked at what she is up to and it is NO good. OK I know this is mostly a blog on what I do to teach my children at home. Well I am 100% about teaching my children the real reason for marriage and how we are to honor and respect our JESUS and when we as Christians allow the media, super stars and others to bash our Jesus then aren't we doing the same? I am ready to take back America for JESUS...Are you with me?

which is one of the reasons we don't have TV reception in our house anymore. We just had an antennae before and where we moved we can't get anything without cable. We still watch TV, but it's in the form of DVD's and videos with no commercials that pop out of nowhere or violent previews. As for the ideas about love, I have even been surprised by our purchase of some Little House on the Prairie that has children thinking about "love" at an age that seems ridiculous to me in what I am learning from scripture. Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog and adding me to your friends list!

I am right there with you on this one. God began convicting me about different types of music and movies since I became Christian four years ago. When we purchased our home this summer and moved we cancelled the cable to save on finances. We just use "bunny ears" now and the kids are allowed to watch PBS and movies we choose for them.
I think more Christians need to take a stand for what we believe in- GOD'S WORD!
