Today was my middle son's birthday...

His gift list involved legos,
a camp/military shovel that folds up,
an old fashion oil lamp for going out to the barn,
a hatchet for chopping off small branches or bothersome saplings,
and aviator's googles he saw in a magazine (circa WW2??)

He got everything but the googles. I really am not sure what he would do with those. He mentioned sledding this winter. I think he has read too many Calvin and Hobbes! This same boy asked for an egg incubator and baby chicks one year.
