Leaving a Legacy

Socialism

I don't know if you have heard, but Barak Obama is advocating that people take the day off on Tuesday (election day), and help his campaign by knocking doors, getting out the vote and making calls.  He says you can't make history sitting at your desk.   HMMMMM.  Let me see if I have this right.

Mr. Obama is asking me to take my earned time off, vacation, inconvenience my company who pays me to do a job, and give it to him as a part of a government function, that is to get him elected as President.  Sounds like redistribution to me.  I admit this isn't forced, yet, but someone please explain to me how this very concept, taking my time and giving it to the government, isn't Socialism.

Nuts, isn't it! So, we should all take the day off. Who's paying for that? Even better, if I were going to take the day off (which I'd love to do for any reason), I'd rather use to march down mainstreet alerting people why NOT to vote for Obama.

That's got to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Not what President Obama requested during the campaign, but your view of it.
