Yes, you read that right. I am excited about the outcome of the Presidential election. Why? Well, let me tell you
- "And he changeth the times and the seasons; He removeth kings, and setteth up kings; he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding. He revealeth the deep and secret things; he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him." ( Dn 2: 20-22 )
- God is Sovereign and know what He is doing.
- Even if this election causes major problems for Christians, God works everything for good to those who are called. He will work this to His honor and HIs glory. God loves His people enough and is trustworthy enough that we can trust Him and know He is working for our good, even in a bad situation
- We have elected the first black man as president. Remember that Martin Luther King JR was suspected to be a communist sympathizer and was a known adulterer. Yet, God used him to help bring about some good things for this country. Could't God do that with the current situation?
- I pray it will become clear how morally bankrupt this way of thinking is. (Mind you, the current Republican party isn't a lot better), because actions have consequences.
I, just like a lot of others, in my humanness, wish things had turned out differently, but I know this will be an exciting time for our country. I am not going to be down about this, but am going to rejoice, not that someone did or did not get elected, but that I have my trust in God, not in some man in an office in a city on the East Coast.
