Wild and Wonderful West Virginia
Feb. 28, 2006 - Hello!

Hi everyone!  I am the second part of this duo, Miranda.  I am 27 years old, wife to my wonderful husband Peter and mother to two preschoolers.  Jacob is 4 1/2 and Caleb is 3 1/2.  I am just starting on my homeschooling journey.  I started out the year using Covenant Home preschool curriculum with Jacob.  My husband who had been off for the last 2 1/2 weeks looked at the curriculum and decided we needed to go back to basics.  Now we are just using flashcards, an alphabet chart, and handprinted worksheets.  I really think that most preschool curriculum is just books that the companies are throwing together to meet the demand of anxious homeschooling moms!  I have been so excited to finally start homeschooling. I know that is will be hard and tedious, but also fun and exciting.  Every homeschooling mom gets to experience the "light bulb" moments with their children.

I currently trying to teach myself to knit.  I attended one class on knitting and kind of just taken off with it.  I am working on knitting dishcloths.  If I could just keep the boys from pulling out my stitches, I would be much farther!

I am looking forward to meeting new people from around the United States and the world.  I would love to hear from so homegrown West Virginia Mountaineers!
