Mar. 19, 2008 - Wow, it is amazing we do what we do!
I'm busy working on our home. My husband and I decided to do a renovation of our basement recently. It's been just too much work.
Anyway, I was thinking about it and Home Schooling moms today. It is amazing that we get done as much as we do!
Many of us are one income families, which adds in the effort of saving money by working more - instead of buying more.
Many of us also have large families. We personally only have 4 children, which could be large to some, but really, isn't that many when you know Home Schooling families with 6, 8 or more children.
Anyway, I wanted to encourage you with that thought today. Feel discouraged you aren't getting everything done? I am so there! Smile There just isn't enough time (or energy) in my day to get everything done the way I want it.
BUT I am doing my best to work on the important vs. the urgent AND I trust God to make up the difference.
Next time you are down on yourself about not getting everything done, why not look at that *to do* list and scratch off 5 (or more!) items? Make your list manageable for today and remove some of that guilt for not getting more done?
I know many mothers who won't even think of home schooling their children. Here we are, trying to home school, trying to be good parents, trying to save money, trying to make food from scratch and more.....
My goal for this year is to do what I can, enjoy life and trust God to make up the difference in what I cannot do.... That might work for you, too.
