May. 8, 2008 - The blessing of being home with our children!
Smile - I took part in a Drama Camp this week and while it has been soooooo good, I was thinking yesterday about what a blessing it is to stay home and home school our children.
Drama Camp hasn't even started early in the day - it started at 10:00 and has been so great for learning some drama techniques, visiting with other Home Schoolers, and enjoying playing theatre games (renewed my interest in those games as my older sister was into them years ago).
But we have friends staying with us, my house is destroyed (smile), and I haven't had time to make a meal since Monday (dinner and supper were provided - that was a cool experience, too. Smile) Even though there is no one to mess the house up during the day, there is also
no one to clean it up, either. wow.
Anyway, I'm so glad this is just an experience for us and not our life. Our life is staying home, enjoying each other AND for me to be the manager of our home. What a blessing that is for me.

I know what you mean. Lately it's been a struggle to even walk to the store! I mean I have to get four kids dressed and either into the vehicle or walking nicely by the stroller and fighting about who walks where and who's riding which bike and the list goes on. Then remember where it was we wanted / needed to go today.
Today was a great outing though. Kinda spare of the moment we decided to go to the seniors home where DH works and visit with the elderly! What a joy to see them smile at the children.
