My Thoughts in Purple

August 1, 2009 - A Lot O' Stuff

'Ello all! I have a lot o' stuff to write about, and only a couple of minutes to finish them, so hold onto your seats!

  • My categories might be a little confusing. I have three; lilac, royal purple, and violet. Here's a quick run through of each of them.
Lilac: Lilac is like my old category "tracks". It's random, every day happenings in life that I write about.
Royal Purple: Royal Purple is a combonation of tags, stories, and books I am currently reading
Violet: Violet takes place of my old category "roses on the trails". It holds heart-warming stuff. Hope that clears my categories up a little bit!
  • I was in a musical camp from Monday-Thursday and it was really fun! Every morning we got together at a church and sang a lot of songs. We were divided into three groups; Uppers (going into 7-12 grade), Middlers (3-6), and Primers (1 and 2). Each group of kids had two songs that we sang, and then everyone sang three songs. I was in the Uppers and our songs were Deeper Life  by Natalie Grant and In Wonder by the Newsboys. I love both those songs! I also got a speaking part, I got to recite one of my favorite verses in the Bible. It was: For you were bought at a price, therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Gods. It was so much fun, and on Thursday, our preformance day, we all did a great job!
  • Our local library is holding a compotition called Battle of the Books. You have a team of five people and there are ten books, your team has to read. I read three books, Pictures of Hollis Woods, Fairest, and The Outcast of 19 Shuleyer Place . They were all really good, and our team won the compotiton! Now we get to move onto the second round with all the libraries of the district! I'm praying God's will be done, but I hope his will is that we win! :)

That's pretty much all I have to say. And I really have to run. Sorry that couldn't be longer, but ta-ta for now!

July 25, 2009 - LOOK! It's a horsiiiiieeeee!

I LOVE HORSES! They're beautiful, majestic creatures and God made them all so different, each having it's own personality. Some are so gentle and kind, others can be trouble makers, and yet others are a combonation of both. I met my dream horse last year at a Christan summer camp. He is a pinto/paint horse, though unregistered, and his ears are brown, but the tips are black. I simply adore his ears. His name is Shickane, though I personally and affectionantly nick-named him Chikane with a "C" and without a "c", due to my great spelling skills. :P

It wasn't like a dream horse begginning; the first thing he did when he saw me was bend his head down and calmly keep eating. He was really bad for the first few days; he hated leading and not following anyone, wouldn't listen to me, and didn't trot properly. But the turning day came on Wednesday. Everyone was walking there horses. "Now do a reverse!" the instructor called out. Since Chikane and I were the last people in the line, when we turned around we were the first. "Oh no" I groaned. But Chikane kept walking! He didn't hesitate for a second and went on walking (and listning to me) perfectly. It just might have been a good day for him, but I fell in love. I love that horse.

So, I am writing a new story called Pennies From Heaven (isn't sure if she spelled "heaven" right. Is it "heven"?) about a girl and a horse. I am dedicating this story to Chikane. I know it's a silly thing, to dedicate a book to a horse, but the main chacaters horse is based after Chikane, so I thought it only fare if he get's the story. I will be posting the story in "my library"   and on Inklings.

April 1, 2009 - Lots O' News

I have lots o' news, as you can see from my title (unless you just skip titles because what is the possible point of a title when you can just read the post?). Well...I'll start playing around with this stuff up here...

  • Oh, that's cool! Yes...I think I'll put my news on these...

  • How many stories can I write at one time, that is the question? Well, let's see, about 120. And I have just started two more storiesAnother fantasy story (because we absolutly need one more in this world of crazy fantasy writers!) and a realistic fiction one. That was the useless information of the week! Really...why'd I even write that?
  • I've been a sicko latley. My little sister caught it from her friend and threw up twice on Monday, then I caught it, and, even though I haven't thrown up yet, my head has a mindsplitting headache, my stomach hurts, my legs feel like jelly and my neck and back ache. Hmm...another uselss fact...
  • I have three awards! Yay! Big thank you's to: Luckyme, Bethy, and Zel  Luckyme and Beth both gave me the same awards and you can see them here and here and Zel gave me this award. *Really wishes she could post pictures on her blog but her mean computer won't let her*
  • I have saved the best news for last. We have passed the court date for our adoption! We are now the offical family of George Bush (last name not shown). And my parents are leaving in fourteen days. Fourteen days! Oh, I can not wait to have little George here! (Well...he's not that little, he's seven years old). My grandparents are coming to watch us while he's gone. YAY!!

Well, that's all for now.

March 19, 2009 - I'm Such a bad Blogger

Man, I'm such a bad blogger! I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY am exited that I'm back on HSB, but you wouldn't know that from the lack of comments I've been giving or posts for six days. I've just been so bussy, and not to mention I'm not allowed on the computer on weekends or Wednesday's. But, in spite of being bussy, nothing really has happended. If that makes sence...I don't think it does...

Well, the weather has turned really nice here and I've been playing outside all day long the last few days. It really seems like spring comes like a bandit. One morning it was snowing, the next the sun is out and it's warm! And everyone comes out of their house. The kids get on their bikes and ride around the neighborhood, the parents get a book and sit on the front porch or take their dogs for a walk. Everyone is outside, as if spring is waking them up from a long hibernation. I wrote this poem at about 1:30 in the morning a few nights ago.

SPRING

A new day has dawned, a season begun

People wake up and look out their windows

The snow is gone, melted away

God's breath has breathed on His land, making life again.

The people come out, an awakinging in the land

For every boy and girl, a thrill comes up

For every adult, new eyes to see

And God puts down His hand, so flowers will come up

Making life again.

I know, it's not the best and it's really short, but I think it sums up spring pretty much. I promiss, I will blog more in the future!

March 12, 2009 - *Wakes up in a wonderful dream where she is in HSB...oh wait...she IS in HSB!!!!!!*

So, if you've read Beth's blog you should know that the "kid computer" is broke (or something) so we gave it away to this guy who needed it and could fix it and now we do not have a computer except my mom's laptop which I can only use to write e-mails. Boy, that was a lot said in one sentence, I sounded like my brother... trying to cram all this stuff in... oh well. So I guess ya'll are wondering what I'm doing writing on my blog. Well, this is how it came to happen:

Me: *walks into kitchen, probably looking sad because I was thinkin' of HSB* Hi Mom *sighs*
Mom: *is making dinner in the kitchen* Hi. Can you pass me the salt?
My little sister Isabel: *passes mom the salt*
Me: *sighs*
Mom: Thanks, Isabel, now the chillie powder?
Isabel: *passes mom the chilli powder*
Me: *sighs*
Mom: And the cheese?
Isabel: *passes mom the cheese*
Me: *sighs*
Isabel: Will you stop sighing already?
Mom: Yeah, what's wrong?
Me: I'm not gonna beg but... *falls down on hands and knees and says in the most desperate voice she can manage* PLEASE!!!!!!! Can I use your laptop for my blog? PLEASE?????????????
Mom: *laughs*
Me: Mom, this is a matter of life and death! I will start fading away if I can't write on my blog. Pretty soon I'll be a big pile of nothing...just a speck of dust floating in the air!
Isabel: *looks confused* Would God let that happen?
Mom: No, your sister's just being overly dramatic
Me: NO I'M NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Pretends to faint as overly dramatic as she can*
Mom: Well...
Me: Well??? What dose 'well' supposed to mean? Dose it mean yes?? PLEASE!!!!!!!!
Isabel: *stares at me like I'm crazy, and I was crazy*
Mom: Okay. As long as you don't write all the time.
Me: WHAT???
Mom: I'll unblock homeschoolblogger for you, and you can write on you blog...let's say...twice a week.
Me: *hugs mom* THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! But...
Mom: But?
Me: But what if you forget?
Mom: I won't forget!
Me: *looks doubtful*
Mom: Isabel will be our witness
Isabel: *looks all important* I'm the witness!
Me: *tackles Isabel in a giant hug and gives mom a bear hug, then runs off to write this*

So I'M BACK ON HSB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can hardly beleive it!!!!!!!!! *Goes into hysterics* *jumps up and down* I'm back on HSB-y I'm back on HSB-y! *settles down* So I will be writing on here again! THANK YOU MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy!

Oh, and the point of this is, in case you haven't noticed, I'm back on HSB. :D YAY!!!!!!!!!!

January 21, 2009 - MAWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!

Looking around blogger world today I saw that no one had anything new, well, at least none of my friends did. I was very bored, since I also have no new e-mails or no new comments. So and idea popped into my head: I will the first to write something new so then everyone, while they are bored, will look at my blog and I will get all the comments. MAWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!

Yup, I've become crazy, in case you were wondering. Part of it is that my sister has been singing at the top of her lungs when she wakes up (6:00-7:30, which is VERY early for me!). And even that would be okay if she sang something decent. But no, she sings Christmas songs. CHRISTMAS SONGS! On January 21st! So I get up very early, read, write, read, write, read, write, get dressed, read some more, make my bed, become restless, and run around the house. Then I'll read and write some more and then my mom has a Bible study so I can't run around the house, so I can either read, write, come on blogger world and be bored, or come on blogger world and write a post.

So now, COMMENT! COMMENT! COMMENT!!! I'm so tired of Christmas songs! I need a good COMMENT to get my mind off of them! *Bangs head on keybored* 54r8h;jhyou2374asd. PLEASE COMMENT!!!!!!!!

Hello, this is Ellie's desk keeper. I am sorry to say that she has gone crazy. She is screaming in the backround PLEASE COMMENT! NO CHRISTMAS SONGS!

January 16, 2009 - I will write though I have nothing to write about

This week has been very dull. Nothing much happended, but I shall write, for I haven't writen for a long time *sighs*. But hey, I'm writing right now! :)
Okay, well, yesterday and today we had are not going to do school! Since my brother and sister are in school and they don't have school. It's -40 degrees here, and all the schools closed down because it was to cold for them to go. So, no one all around the state had school on Thursday or Friday, and mom let me have the days off, too! And it would be kind of impossible to do school yesterday, because we were babysitting four kids, plus are four, and we had eight kids in one house! Two of them were next door neighbors who are friends with my siblings, two of them live a long way away, but they used to be next door neighbors, so since there was no school they came over here to play with the siblings (who they are also friends with). There was no one my age there, but I had to watch everyone and make sure no fights were going on between girls and boys (and beleive me we came close to it!). Have you ever had a ton of kids over and one or two of the kids declare war and then everyone is screaming. It's fun during the summer where you can run around the back yard, but inside it isn't as fun (and then the girls want me to be double agents and the boys want me to be a triple agent and then everyone turns into a spy...very fun when your outside!).
I really want a new template! I love my template now, but I think it would be cool to have another one. If anyone can make templates with horses I think I would be very happy! And while I'm waiting for a template maker, I'll try to get a Bible verse with horses in it.
Well, I've got to go now. *Looks back over her post* Wow! I came in with nothing to write about and came out with a really long post! :D

God Bless,
Horsewings

January 10, 2009 - Well, since I'm reading LOTR...

Well, since I'm reading LOTR I thought I'd give this a try. Let's see who I am...

Okay, well  my computer is being mean and won't let me post a picture, so I'll just tell you who I am. Drumroll please. I AM....Galadreil! Here's what it says about me:
You are most like Galadriel. There's just something about you that people like. A sort of aura. You're very kind to people, and you like to help others succeed. You're not as candid as most people would like. You don't have to share your deepest darkest secrets, but be more honest about things! You're more mature than most people your age, so don't worry!
I think that pretty much nails it. I'll try to get this on my sidebar, I probably won't be able to without messing it up. Maybe I'll ask someone to do it.

Oh! Speaking of side bars, have you seen my blinkies? I messed around with the teamplate, and got them on. I never thought I could do that. Next thing you know, I'll be making templates, :D. Just kidding, I couldn't do that for the life of me.

January 9, 2009 - Starting LOTR

I have been wanting to post this forever, but it would have never been true until now. I have started the Fellowship of the Ring! I've been waiting to read the LOTR books for a long time, but I had always had to many books piled up on top of each other waiting to be read. When I finally finished all those books I needed another book to read. A good one. A fantasy. One with lots of description. The Fellowship was the perfect choice! :)
I look forward to knowing a little bit more about what a lot of people here on HSB love.

January 5, 2009 - Lot's and Lot's

'Ello all! I'm so sorry I've abandoded my readers! But, I'm back now and happy as ever to start writing again!
First of all, I have a tag from Equestrian21. Thanks girl! Here it goes:

The Author Tag

Do you have a pen/pencil collection? Yes, lot's and lot's of them! Mostly pens though I don't like pencils, they brake

Do you prefer handwriting or typing furiously?  I LOVE handwriting. All my best stories started out on paper, I feel I can write better with pen in my hand.

How often do you get inspiration?  That depends on my mood. If I'm in a "magic mood" I'll get inspiration popping everywhere. If I'm in a "normal mood" inspiration comes from the good books I read every few hours. If I'm in "mad and bad mood" I never get inspiration

Are you blogging this on a computer or laptop?   Computer. I WANT A LAPTOP!!!.

Do you get inspiration more in the early morning or late at night?  Deffinantly night time. I am a night owl and wake up really late in the mornings

Do certain movies/books/music inspire you?  All books, all good books, I should say, inspire me in one way or another. The LOTR and Narina movies inspire me along with old classic musicals: Meet me in St. Louis, Singing in the Rain, The Sound of Music, that type of stuff. I'm affraid I have not yet found a music type that inspires me, yet.

How do you incorporate God into your stories?   Well, good ALWAYS wins over evil and sometimes in my historical fiction works the chacaters pray and are Christians

Do you kill off your villains or make them repent?   Sometimes I'll kill them sometimes I won't :D

Is the majority of your characters magical beings, humans or halflings? Or something else?  In fantasy their magical beings and humans but in Historical Fiction all humans.

What genre of writing are you most comfortable in? If you were to step out of your comfort zone, what would you write?    I write Historical Fiction and Fantasy. Usally my Historical fiction is about the 1930's (Great Depression) or the old west and my fantasy take place in the fairy-tale world. If I was to go out of my comfort zone it would be non-fiction. UGG!

Do you work better alone or with someone else?   Alone

Do your stories make sense, or do they ramble wildly?  I think they make sense but I make them up as I go so they might ramble

Are your characters mostly Renegades, Peacekeepers or a mish-mash?  Umm...I'm not sure

Are you a sucker for good grammar?  Grammar, yes, spelling, NO

How is your handwriting?   Awful. It's a mish-mash of cursive and print and usally scribbled.

How evil are your villains?   Not too evil, but not too good, either

Are you long-winded or succinct?  Rather long-winded, I'm afraid, a terrible habit.....

Do you have typical "writer" traits such as inkstains on your fingers or a pencil behind your ear?  INKSTAINS!!!! I always have them because I only write with pens.

Would someone walking past you on the street consider you normal?  Unless you get to know me I seem normal...but you never know!

Do your characters vary in accents, appearence and attitude or are they mostly the same?  Appearence?  Yup all the time!

Do real people and/or places inspire your writing?  I can write anywhere and my chacaters are all made up, although I'll base some after my sister

How many blogs/websites/internet haunts do you have? I don't know...I have a lot of blogs I don't do anymore (this is my mane one) and I have a Webkinz, and I'm trying to do NaNoWriMo next year, so three.

What is your favorite character?  Or do you choose to remain unbiased in case of a revolt?  I have no idea! I love all my chacaters, except the bad ones, and I think they would revolt, their on the burdge of taking over my blog. Maybe I'll make them their own blog.

Do you talk to your characters? Do they talk back?  Yes. All the time!

Are you more comfortable with girl or boy main characters?  Girls

Do you follow basic overused plotlines with new twists thrown in or do you depart from the norm all the time?  I don't really know.  Probably some of both.

Do you feel God has called you to be a writer/poet? Will you grasp "the power of the pen"?   YES YES YES! I love writing and feel that God has called me to do it to glorify him.

Alright, I tag: EoywnDernhelm. Have fun and sorry if I spelled your name wrong. :D

One of the big changes in my life is my younger sister going off to school and my brother, legojangofett. They've homeschooled their whole life (I went to public school for kindergarten). It's very quiet around here without them, and I miss them. But I must admit, it is fun talking to them about the diffrent gym teachers and helping them with homework.

My new year and Christmas were great! For Christmas I got a pink bass guitar, a robe for chilly mornings, a read-through-the-Bible-in-one-year planner in my favorite color, lilac. Oh great, now I'm stuck in Lilac. Oh well. :D I also got this beautiful, old-fashiond journal and a horse calendar.

On new years eve we banged pots and pans when the clock stuck 12:00 and said "Good Morning!"

Oh, I'm out of lilac! Hmm...I wonder what happened. :)

We got a court date for George! That means that if we pass the court date in five weeks after that day we'll get him! :D I'm so exited and praying that we pass the court date. We're trying to ask people to pray that day so that after everyone has prayed it totals 12 hours. Someone is waking up at 2:00 in the morning to pray!

Well...that's really all. It feels so good to write again!

December 30, 2008 - January 5th

I'm sorry to bring this to you but I will not be writing again on this blog untill January 5th. Also, I will be getting rid of my story blog. One day I will write out the whole story on this blog, but it's not even finished on paper yet so it probably wont be soon. I'm sorry for the inconviences and look forward to the fifth.
