July 25, 2009 - LOOK! It's a horsiiiiieeeee!
I LOVE HORSES! They're beautiful, majestic creatures and God made them all so different, each having it's own personality. Some are so gentle and kind, others can be trouble makers, and yet others are a combonation of both. I met my dream horse last year at a Christan summer camp. He is a pinto/paint horse, though unregistered, and his ears are brown, but the tips are black. I simply adore his ears. His name is Shickane, though I personally and affectionantly nick-named him Chikane with a "C" and without a "c", due to my great spelling skills. :P
It wasn't like a dream horse begginning; the first thing he did when he saw me was bend his head down and calmly keep eating. He was really bad for the first few days; he hated leading and not following anyone, wouldn't listen to me, and didn't trot properly. But the turning day came on Wednesday. Everyone was walking there horses. "Now do a reverse!" the instructor called out. Since Chikane and I were the last people in the line, when we turned around we were the first. "Oh no" I groaned. But Chikane kept walking! He didn't hesitate for a second and went on walking (and listning to me) perfectly. It just might have been a good day for him, but I fell in love. I love that horse.
So, I am writing a new story called Pennies From Heaven (isn't sure if she spelled "heaven" right. Is it "heven"?) about a girl and a horse. I am dedicating this story to Chikane. I know it's a silly thing, to dedicate a book to a horse, but the main chacaters horse is based after Chikane, so I thought it only fare if he get's the story. I will be posting the story in "my library" and on Inklings.
