All we have to know is what to do with the time that is given us.
In the Darkness, Hear the Silence

Description

My name is Sarah. I'm 15 years old, and this is mostly about my life. Hang around for a while, and you'll figure out who I am, and what I'm about. The brief version? I'm a Jesus Freak.

Happy Birthday Daddy

Today is my Daddy's birthday. :) I don't think I can say how old he is, but I'm sure it's not that old...quite young, to be exact.

My Daddy and I have a special relationship. We talk politics, music, church, crazy stuff, and pretty much everything else that happens to come to mind. My Daddy isn't perfect, but I know he tries to be the man God wants him to be.

My Daddy is awesome because...

  • He's a pastor, and is completely devoted to his job. And, he's good at it! Even though it gets tiring, and sometimes it's a thankless job, he keeps doing what God has called him to do.
  • He always makes time for us-his family. He generally works at home, so he can help us with schoolwork, correct a rhythyn on the piano, and take us places. Even though he could easily work all day sometimes, he doesn't.
  • He loves me and wants what's best for me, even  though I might not enjoy all his decsions.
  • He works hard for what he wants-he has a dream of our family moving up on his property, and is working on clearing land, and getting a site ready for the house.
  • He shares my love of music and good books.
  • He is in love with Jesus, and does everything he does to serve Him and glorify His name.
  • He's a great cook-his grilled chicken Rocketh My Face Off.
  • He helps people who need it-whether it's working on their house, praying with them, transporting them, encouraging them spiritually, or just viisting with them.
  • He believes in me even when I feel like giving up on myself.

So, for Daddy's birthday, I had to think long and hard about what to do for it. I thought of places to go, things to eat....

For Daddy's birthday, he and Mom get to go back to Israel! They're leaving for three weeks, so they better get packing. I hope they have fun in the Holy Land.

To eat...Before you go, that is. All that kosher food in Israel is great, but we have to celebrate first. So, you and Mom can go to Marketplace! Don't worry about us kids, we're fine here. You can take as long as you want, and do whatever you want. Have fun with those sweet potato fries!!!

I wish I could do all that, but in reality, all I can do is give you your present and say I hope you have a Very Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Daddy! I love you.

Tell your dad, happy birthday for me, okay? =^)

So far, yes. I am called to missions in Italy. But I'm not positive yet. First, it was Madagascar (or however you spell it!), then it was Iraq, and now it's Italy. Goodness gracious! What next?

Thanks, I like your blog too!

The church I attend goes on mission trips every year, and next year, I'll be able to go! (7th grade=youth group=mission trips!)

The Lord bless you and keep you...

Memphis, TN... Yep, I've head of it. But of course, the places that are rough usually need to hearabout God more than the places that aren't rough and are safe. You know? I think our church is going to Acuna, Mexico or something like that this year. Sounds fun!

I did the option where I didn't give my email address. The only difference is that I can't edit it.

Hello!

Yes, the template is classy! I'm glad you like it! It needs a few adjustments though... =^)

Yes, good point! Memphis probably isn't the safest place for a girl to go... I might suggest serving at a local soup kitchen. I did that one time, and it was really fun!
