First and foremost, I want to take a moment to set some things straight... and ask a favor of all of you.
To begin with, I want to be crystal clear and not leave any room for question about one point. I love my wife. I respect my wife. I respect her abilities as a teacher, wife, mother and homemaker. If, in any of my past blogs, I have in any way implied anything negative about her or her abilities, that was purely unintentional and not representative of how I feel.
I do, sometimes, take some literary license with a story. I do enjoy metaphors and I do like tossing in an joke here or there to keep the tone light.
That takes care of the clarification....
Now for the favor....
If, in any of my future blogs, I ever seem to be casting my wife in a negative light or in any way disparaging her, please by all means, call me on it. Comment on that blog for all to see and I will issue a public retraction.
I am not, and never want to be, one of those bloggers who is out to slam their wife and vent their frustrations to the world when I am too cowardly to vent them directly to her. And if there is something I am frustrated about, it isn't likely to intentionally show up here.
There may be a point in time in the future when she and I co-blog and we have "He said... she said..." kind of posts. At those times, it will be simply the presentation of differing views and not a volley of insults.
So again, to end with, please call me to task if it ever seems that I am beginning to embrace the "dark side of the force" and not providng her with the love and support she deserves.
