Well as many of you know we have been working on a room in our house to insulate it. So now we are on the finishing touches. Hubby is teaching son  by letting him help. This first picture is him helping dad by filling in nail holes.

  Now then the painting begins.

 I have started back to paint a few birthday cards again. I had stopped for awhile but then I had a few birthdays to do. Here is some that I have done.

 This first one is actually of a goose that we have. He is such a sweet goose too. He hangs around with the ducks. So cute to watch.

This one I took from a precious memories coloring book and then added balloons to it for the birthday girl. Her mom and dad call her angel so I thought that one was just too cute.

And this one was for my sister. lol She likes rabbits.

Just wanted to also let Antoinette know when you see this that  I have tried so many times to come visit your blog but for some reason, I can't open it. It ends up shutting down my browser all together. So just to let you know that I think about you.

I am so glad you all don't mind me showing off my paintings. I love showing them off and seeing the response that I get back. It helps to know what others think. So here we go, my next 2 paintings:

 This one is an 8x10 and is going to my niece for her birthday. 

Another barn painting. This one is one that I am going to enter into another Art Show in another town close by. I can enter up to 5 paintings. I am suppose to get them there this weekend and can pick them up on the 5th of Oct.

Entering in these art shows is out of my element but it is so exciting at the same time. I am hoping to get my name out there some and start selling my paintings for extra money. I have sold some already but it is to family and friends of family. But hey, that's a place to start don't you think. I will let you all know what happens on the Art Shows, if I win anything or not. I know that I may not but it is great to just get my pictures shown out there. 

I still have to decide on 3 more paintings to enter. I may enter the ostrich.

 Also I am going to be working on a deer scene painting today but will have to see how it turns out. lol

Nothing really new to talk about these days so I thought I would share my newest painting.

I have a few little details that I want to get in there but I am thinking of putting it in our Art Show at the Museum this month. I have never entered anything in it before, so it should be interesting.

Son is sitting here doing his end of the 6th grade math test. Then come Monday he will be a full 7th grader. Wow, how time has went by so fast. It really doesnt seem that long ago we were starting 1st grade. The math is getting harder for me too. lol I was never a math whiz and this is really not easy for me. I am learning right along with my son on most of it. I sit and think and wonder just how I past math back in those days. Guess that goes to show you how the public school worked for me. lol

Today I would like to share some of my paintings with you. I just started painting animals in the last couple of months, so this is really exciting to me to be able to do this good. I have even been selling some of them. I also painted the Bible at the top of my blog page.

It's Friday's S&T with CANADAGIRL. So go on by there and join in the fun or just check out what others have to share.

Well I have told you all that I finished my wall mural behind my son's desk.  This is a chalkboard paint and then I painted a wooden frame around it. Since my son is crazy over Scooby Doo, well that is what we decided to do. So here it is. 

Ok, now then this one is my all time favorite card that I made. I just made it yesterday. I have decided not to give this one away and frame it for myself. To me it looks so real. 

 So all you want to be artist but don't think you can do it, if I can do it, you can too. This one really shocked me that I actually did this. So that is my S&T for today. Enjoy life and God Bless you all.

Well it was so cold yesterday that we all decided to do some painting. First I painted an 16x20 picture on canvas for my stepson and we liked it so much that hubby and I decided to paint it on the bathroom wall. I am still planning on painting an underwater scenery but I have to practice on card tables first. lol So this will do for now. Here it is most of the way finished.   

I still have a few minor things to paint in there, like maybe a sand bucket or shells and I am wanting to put in a water line but I am not that good at doing water. I am afraid I will mess it all up. So at least we have something in there besides a white wall. I have mirrors on the left wall so that is the shadow you see in it. I think it turned out pretty good.

Son wants us to paint Scooby Doo in his room. That should be fun. We have to peel the wallpaper off and then paint it first. So no telling when we will get to that. lol

It is suppose to be warmer today. Suppose to get around 40*. Heat wave, woohoo. lol

Thank you all who commented so nicely about my dog. She is so special to us as is all of our animals. We are just playing it by ear on what to do when.

Ok, I did  get a few cards made yesterday with son. I will show you a couple of them but we couldn't show  the ones made for a special little birthday boy that is coming up real soon. He will just have to wait and see. So here they are.

Well after reading all the post yesterday about Tie Dye shirts we decided to try it ourselves. So first thing after chores this morning we went out and in search for the leaves we wanted to put on the shirts. Here is the finished products 

It was a red shirt. I never gave it a thought, but he doesn't care. He is really proud of it too. His dad was here after we got it done and thought that that was a great idea. Son is ready to do all his shirts now. lol

So now it's time to do the rest of school.  I thought the boys head was going to fall off onto the floor when I said that.  He just dropped it down and hung out that bottom lip and starts grumbling. OH NO not again! Then when it's Math time, I decided to have him do some measuring for a sign that we want to paint. Thinking that he would be really happy not to have to sit at the desk. He was, til he started measuring and then the fussing started. It makes you want to say forget it just sit down and lets do sit down work. It was just so frustrating. But now we are done and I did remember this is Monday. Monday's are usually not a good day here. So I am looking forward to Tuesday. lol Ok enough about my rant. It's going to get better now.
