Today was our bi-weekly trip to the commisary, but we did manage to accomplish some things for 'school'.
One of those things was spend some time reading aloud "Pagoo". It fits with our recent beachschooling theme. We enjoyed reading the first few pages and laughing aloud.
We also grabbed out our sketch books and sketched our first picture of Pagoo as a new baby. Below are our sketches...
Here is Will's sketch...

A wonderful accomplishment... especially from a young man that does not exactly enjoy drawing or writing (yet..).
And here is Ally's sketch...

She also included a quote from the book. I thought she did a great job. A wonderful eye for detail!
And, yes, even I joined in the fun... Here is my attempt....

We had fun sketching together.
We were also able to do our lesson in Proverbs 4 and illustrate it.
We read a few chapters of our "Stories of the Pilgrims", too.
While the younger children played outside, Ally and I walked up and down the sidewalk as we read aloud together our "So Much More" book, which we are really enjoying. As we walked and read, Beth and Caro kept bringing up wild flowers that they had been picking for me (also blades of grass and dead leaves)... sweeties....
Our trip to the commisary took up a good chunk of our day though....
Tomorrow we hope to head outdoors and explore....
