We finally made it home late last night
from our trip to Florida.
We stayed a few extra days,
visiting my mom, gramma, and grandpa
and helped pack their Uhaul
for their move back to Michigan.
But this entry is about
the beginning of our convention trip.
Hubby and I were excited
to reach our destination last Thursday
at the Gaylord Palms Resort
for the FPEA Homeschool Convention.

We checked in and headed to our room.
We really enjoyed our view.
It overlooked the inside of the hotel.
I enjoyed the times I was able to sit
out on the balcony with my coffee. mmmm....

I was excited to pick up my homeschool blogger t-shirt!

Hubby and I enjoyed the time alone
as we explored the hotel...

I was thrilled to be able to hear Andrew Pudewa
(The Institute for Excellence in Writing) speak again.
This time, hubby took a picture
of me and my friend, Lisa, with him...

Of course, I have NO idea
why she and I are making the faces we are....
but, oh well.
At least we have the photo
and we enjoyed talking with him
and, of course, listen to him speak.
We attended his writing seminar
and his 'profound effects of music on life' session.
There were many wonderful seminars we attended.
We were able to listen to
Doug Philips of Vision Forum (hubby did twice)
and a few others.
A wonderfully, encouraging
and challenging experience.
And shopping for our books was great.
I loved being able to look
through so many of the books I wanted to.
But we didn't stay
at the convention center the entire time.
One evening,
we ventured out to eat at The Olive Garden
then headed to play putt-putt.
Well, we didn't end up playing
but we were able to feed some alligators...

We were feeding them pieces of hot dog
from a modified fishing pole...

We also did a few other things
that I will blog about later.
We did have a wonderful time
but we are also glad to be home.
