Yesterday, hubby and I celebrated our anniversary.
Later in the evening, we went out to eat with our friends that are moving.
We had a great time!
Yesterday morning, before hubby headed out to work,
I shared with him the scrapbook I've been putting together of the two of us.
I thought I would share some of my amateur scrapbook pages.
Please overlook the hideous photo editing I did to put them on my blog.

We dated in high school. To the left is a poem that I wrote when we were dating.
I had to smile when I read the last line that read,
"And one day we would say "I do"."
On the right, the writing says,
"Rare as is true love, true friendship is rarer." (source unknown)
Then underneath it says, "I found both in you"

Here, on the left, are photos of our trip to the ocean together.
It was the first time I had ever been to any ocean.
On the right is the first Marine Corps Ball we ever attended together.

This is a copy of our wedding invitation which says,
"This day I will marry my friend, the one I laugh with, live for, dream with, love"
On the opposite page is a poem titled "A Marriage Prayer".
(this poem was not written by me... author is unknown)

On the left is a photo from our wedding day.
The writing around the photo says,
"I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine..." Song of Solomon 6:3
On the right is our announcement that was put in our hometown newspaper.

On the left are photos of us in a little silliness.
In the top left photo, hubby is sticking his tongue out...
which we can be find doing often in photos.
The bottom left is a photo of us with our Christmas slippers.
The Scripture on the left page says,
"A merry heart doeth good like a medicine." ~ Proverbs 17:22
On the right are photos during a Christmas season.
The Scripture says,
"Thou hast ravished my heart..." Song of Solomon 4:9

On the left is a photo of hubby and I during another Christmas
and a photo of when we went on vacation.
Notice hubby's feet in that photo? Notice the height difference??
We always laugh at this photo and how he stood on the ledge to look taller!
The writing on the left page says,
"For, you see, each day I love you more.
Today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow." (source unknown)
On the right page is a photo of us together during, yet another, Christmas.
And a photo of both of us sleeping on the couch
after a long evening with a newborn.
The writing is a poem I wrote last year...

Here is a photo of us a our church's Valentine banquet one year
and a photo of another Marine Corps ball we had attended.

Here is a photo of another Valentine banquet we attended.
The writing says, "Love isn't like a resevoir. You'll never drain it dry.
It's much more like a natural spring. The longer and the farther it flows,
The stronger and the deeper and the clearer it becomes." (unknown source)
That was it, for now. I'm one of those that has tons of photos stored
on my computer but has yet to get prints of them.
So this book is an always current project.
But hubby and I enjoyed looking through it together with fond memories.
