Today my Mommy turns the golden age of 50.

I sure wish I could be with her today

but 1,000 miles separates us.

 

In honor of her golden birthday

13. She was a stay-at-home mom

22. She is saved by the blood of Jesus Christ

23. She collects shoes (not the ones you wear)

24. She has pretty dimples (which passed to my Carolynne)

28. She like to talk to me on the phone

29. She is a good cook. Mmmm.

30. She introduced me to wet burritos. mmmm...

31. She loves her grandchildren

32. She makes me feel special

33. She read Bible stories to me

35. She is a diligent worker (when she is able)

40. She wondered where 'yonder' was as a child

41. She spent time with me as a child/teen

42. She taught me domestic skills

43. She continues to persevere through kidney disease and much more

44. She is a medical mystery often

45. She held my hand when needed

46. She was/is a best friend

47. She taught me more than she'll ever know

48. She loves Isaiah 53:5,6

      "But he was wounded for our transgressions,

       he was bruised for our iniquities:

      the chastisement of our peace was upon him;

      and with his stripes we are healed.

I'm so glad the Lord blessed me with you as my mother.
