Making More Progress...

Posted in Daily Life

Darling hubby had today off of work

due to the holiday weekend.

So we continued packing and loading

what we could onto the trailer to take to storage.

I decided to tackle our sitting room

that is connected to our bedroom...

I emptied the bookcase to the left, the bookcase to the front,

and there was a sewing table with drawers to the right.

It was nice to see it completed...

We also cleared out some of our walk-in closet

and other miscellaneous things.

Meanwhile, Ally worked in her room...

Will took a break from working and decided to do some math...

Beth was eager to be Daddy's big helper...

While Carolynne was all helped out...

After darling hubby and I packed up the trailer,

he took off to the storage unit.

But he soon returned because he saw rain coming in fast

(we had books, furniture, and my antique record player

that I received from my gramma on the trailer)

so we hurried to get the trailer unloaded into the garage.

Well, the rain never did make it to our house,

though it did make it to other parts of town.

So I was thankful we were able to prevent our things from getting wet...

unlike yesterday :o(  But, oh well, they're just material possessions.

We were glad we were able to get so much accomplished today,

especially since darling hubby goes back to work tomorrow.

Ally and I were noticing how parts of the house echo now.

It's bittersweet. But we are excited about what the Lord has planned.

It must be pretty chaotic for will to take a break to do MATH. LOL Just kidding. I just saw the humor in that, is all.
Glad your things didn't get wet and ruined. Looks like you're getting a lot accomplished.

Wednesday, September 6, 2006 - Packing Progress

Thoughts shared by Shereen

Oops, sorry, I posted about the rain in the wrong post. lol Wow, you have gotten alot done so far. That room emptied out really fast. lol Well, at least over here it did. lol It stinks packing up certain things, because you start thinking, oh, but I might want to read that soon, or I still want to sew this, I need this fabric (in my case. lol) How nice to have Ally helping you pack up. It should go a lot faster like that. Thanks for sharing all the progress with us. How nice that Will is still squeezing some school in, even though so many other things are going on.
