Our Packing Adventure Continues...

Posted in Daily Life

Today we continued with some of our packing.

Ally worked more in her room...

While I tackled the den...

This was before

and this was after...

Here were the boxes from that room...

I didn't clear my computer amoire or the piano books and such.

I'm hoping my computer will be the last thing to go!

The younger ones were able to slip outside and play...

At first Carolynne didn't want to get on,

so Will and Beth stopped jumping so much

and she climbed on to jump, too...

I stayed out to watch them play for a little bit

and enjoy the fresh air...

Eventually, it was time to head back inside to do more packing.

I decided to tackle the bookcase in my laundry room...

I tried my best to toss them into a box without taking time

to look at them and go through all of those "what if" questions...

When I was finished, Ally and I carried it out of the laundry room...

Here were the boxes from the bookshelf (in and on top of)

and a few books from the other bookshelf in this room...

I think I'm going to owe darling hubby a back rub

after moving all these boxes of heavy books!

Schoolwork wasn't completely absent today either.

Will sat at the dining room table and did some more math

and Ally was more than eager and willing to do some Greek.

And I (finally) sent out my homeschool paperwork

for this past school year...

after receiving a gentle reminder in the mail.

It was a very productive day! We look forward to a restful evening.

Hope everyone else enjoyed their day!

That's so funny with Carolynne not wanting to go in. How sweet of them to stop jumping for her. ;0) You even have books in the laundry room, huh? lol I really do know what you mean. Today I did the opposite of you, I unpacked some boxes we had in the garage that I packed when we thought we were going to move. I had to stop and look at each and every book I took out. ;0) I felt like I was in a bookstore buying all these books again. I was so excited. Some of them I forgot I even had. It was very exciting. lol I remember when we moved once, I had put all my books together in one box, and then onto the next box, all books again, etc. I remember my beloved gently reminding me to please put the books mixed in with sheets or pillows, something light, anything light!! lol ;0) A nice back rub would be nice. It looks like you are cruising through over there. Good for you!! Yes, the computer should be the last thing you pack. I think that is a most excellent idea!! I'm sure after all that packing, school work was starting to look real good. lol Do you have to report your school things monthly, yearly, quarterly? Oops, I didn't realize how long this was getting. lol

I thought I had a lot of books, but sister, you got me beat in that area. LOL You weren't kidding when you said you had alot. I think it's wonderful. I'm terrible about books myself....but I think you've been terrible about them longer than I. Hehehe

Can hubby get a handtruck from work? He would still have to lift them, but at least it would cut the carrying out.

Thank you so much for your encouragement on my site. I so appreciate it. I have visited your site many times, but do not really like commenting anonymously ;). Your family is just beautiful...your page radiates a Godly beauty. Being a military wife and mom is challenging, and it is always encouraging to see there are others going through very similar trials- but they are victorious with the Lord as their strength and shield. God Bless you and yours. -Heather Eph 6:19
