A Laid-Back Friday...

Posted in Daily Life

Today we were quite laid back.

Daddy came home earlier this morning after his '6 mile hump'.

He was exhausted, sweaty (an understatement), and hungry.

So I made him (and Ally) a fried egg sandwich

while I heated some hashbrowns in the oven for the children.

We enjoyed the brief 'extra' time we had with Daddy.

After he headed back to work, we picked up the house some.

Will and I spent some time going over a few math concepts.

Ally 'drained the well' for over an hour (lol... we do not have a well,

it just 'code' for her being in the shower too long!).

Also today, Will and I worked briefly in his room

to get a box packed up...

as the lil' girls played in their room with the Potato Heads

that they discovered Mommy didn't pack yet...

Meanwhile, Ally played on the piano and filled the house with music...

As I made up lunch, the lil' girls played in the kitchen sink...

After eating and cleaning up lunch,

Ally worked on her Chemistry and World View.

Will started reading a book about Daniel Boone.

And the lil' girls laid down for quiet times/naps.

Beth didn't fall asleep (as usual) but she laid there quietly for a while.

Carolynne, however, enjoys her sleeping and soon zonked out.

I took some time helping a friend with her new blog design.

Be sure to check it out. I really like the graphics she chose.

They are very warm, cozy, and inviting.

Also today, the Will and Beth spent some time outside

on the trampoline...

while Carolynne stayed in to play...

Silly girl

It's so quite here right now... that's very unusual for our home.

I love the 'noise' of my children but a peaceful moment is lovely, too.

I hope everyone is enjoying their day.

Monday, September 18, 2006 - Laid back...

Thoughts shared by Shereen

Even though you say it was laid back, you all look like you still got quite a few things done. I loved looking at all the pictures. All of my children loved playing at the sink with cups, spoons, etc. I used to get so much done that way. lol Thanks for sharing. I'm still praying over here.
