Well, today our ticker (at top of the page)
has reached its last day of our expected countdown.
However, we are not officially moving just yet.
We continue in prayer and are waiting on the Lord
in the sell of our home.
This weekend, our eldest spent some time at a friend's house
working on a scrapbook they've been putting together
of memories from the last few years.
It's coming along very well
and we are sure it is something they will enjoy in years to come.
While she was there, the rest of us went to the local flea market
to search for something like legos, potato heads, etc...
for the younger ones to play with since I forgot to set them out.
While we were at the flea market,
the children were excited to see some horses
that they were able to pet.
And we were also thrilled that the Lord did lead us
to a box of blocks that were just the right size and price!
When we got back home,
I filled up the bathtub and let the lil' girls wash their new blocks...

Afterwards, they had fun drying them off...

Will spent time playing with his cars and the new one he bought...

They enjoyed playing with their new toys.
We also enjoyed our paper plane races and chases.
Each child had a paper plane that they would see how far it would go.
We also had a little fun flying the planes at each other.
Sunday was a restful Lord's Day.
Between services, my husband and I were able to catch a nap.
Ally caught Will and Dad resting together...

And she even caught me in my sweet, but rare, Sunday nap...

Today, my husband officially detaches from his unit here.
What does that mean??
It means he doesn't go to work until November 15th
and that will be at his new unit (where we are moving to).
So he will be home with us for the next few weeks, starting tomorrow.
This morning the children and I
read a chapter of Proverbs and Psalms together
and discussed a few of the verses.
We are also working towards finishing our book, "Teddy's Button".
Ally has been reading one of her books I set out for History,
"Famous Men of the Middle Ages", which she is loving.
She also studied some of her Greek.
During lunch, the older ones were reading our Presidents flash cards
and discussing trivia questions on the flash cards...

Here are the flashcards they were using...

The flashcards inspired Ally and I to look online
at the similarities between Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy...

Right now the younger ones are outside
(in the gorgeous weather),
looking for butterflies and other insects,
to see what they can find and chase.
Ally and I will be sitting down this afternoon
to make a menu for the next week.
It will need to be a 'cheap' menu
but I'm confident the Lord will enable us to do so.
With my beloved being home the next few weeks,
I'm not sure how often I'll be able to post.
I'm actually surprised (and thankful)
I've been able to post as much as I have been lately.
I will continue to post when I am able.
Until then, Good-bye for now (again)...
