Today was my husband's first official day off of work
for the next few weeks.
It was nice to be able to sit together this morning
and enjoy our cups of coffee together.
It was also a blessing to read God's Word together.
Later in the morning, I sat on the couch with the children
to read our daily Proverbs
and we were delighted when Dad joined us.
We spent some time playing and other miscellaneous things
before we made a trip to the commisary and PX together.
While at the PX (for those that aren't sure what that is...
it stands for Post Exchange...
kinda like a department store on base),
we picked up the game RISK and Hi-Ho Cheerio.
Then we went to the commisary
to pick up groceries for the week.
When we arrived home, the younger children and I
played a game of Hi-Ho Cheerio.
We hope to 'break out' the RISK game tomorrow.
We were also excited that the Lord led
two different families to come out this afternoon
to look at our house.
Both claim to really like it and we are continuing in prayer.
We know the Lord will work it out according to His will.
The situation with our house
has been a very interesting journey...
Though difficult at times,
I am thankful the Lord allows those times
when all we can do is wait, trust, and rest upon Him.
It is humbling and comforting to know
that He cares about every detail of our lives
and that He is in complete control.
"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,
whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee.
Trust ye in the LORD for ever:
for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:"
~ Isaiah 26:3,4
