Thursday's Things... From Our Empty House
Posted in Daily Life
Yesterday began with waking up
to the smell of coffee throughout the house.
Mmmmmm...
My husband and I sat on the front porch
as we drank our first cup together.
When we went back inside
we read our Bible and then began getting everyone ready for the day.
Will was found in the kitchen playing RISK...

The lil' girls were found in our room playing 'baby'...

Notice who the baby was?

Beth was so proud of herself putting the diaper on him.
After getting everyone ready for the day,
we headed to the park for a homeschool park day.
Dad headed to the base to run some errands.
The children (and the mommies) had fun at the park.
We stayed for a couple of hours.
It was a great time of fun and fellowship.
As we were leaving the park,
the children were loading in the van
as I was talking with a friend.
When I finished talking, they weren't in their seats.
Instead, I found the girls had climbed to the back of the van
to sit together and read a book...

After the park, the children and I went to the library
to check out a couple of books on Martin Luther
since Tuesday is Reformation Day
(particularly the day he posted his 95 Thesis).
We were able to find a few books
and then headed home.
When home, they were eager to play with Daddy...

Ally made supper so I could get ready for a homeschool meeting.
I was delighted when I came around the kitchen corner
to see she had recruited her lil' sisters to help...

When supper was finished,
we ate our tacos in the dining room at our "table"
(the dining room rug).
We had someone else coming to look at the house
and my husband made me laugh when he said
he needed to go vacuum the dining room "table".
After supper I left for the homeschool meeting at church.
We discussed our goals in homeschooling our children
and we had a visitor that was in her first year of homeschooling.
It was nice being able to talk with and encourage her.
It was enjoyable to fellowship with other homeschool mamas, too.
When I arrived home, the younger children were in bed.
Dad and Ally were in the middle of an 'intense' game of RISK...

It was a great day!
And the Lord blessed us with wonderful weather,
which made our visit to the park very enjoyable.
We were thankful.
Now I need to get ready for today.
Hope everyone enjoys their Friday.
"This is the day which the LORD hath made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it."
~ Psalm 118:24

I just wanted to say that I have been all of your posts faithfully, but haven't had a chance to comment. I've been kind of busy. We have some plans brewing in our house as well. ;0) I will share in a private email, because I haven't posted it on my blog yet. I wanted to let you know that I am still praying for you and that the Lord will bring someone very soon to buy your house. It must be wonderful having your beloved home for all of these days. It looks like you are all enjoying him very much. I still haven't made it to the post office. Hopefully the next time my beloved works from home, I will go out. Thank you for continuing to blog through these busy times. I enjoy so much reading about everything going on during your moving adventure.
Blessings

Today was our first morning of daylight savings time. Is till woke up at 5 am (4am yesterday) but it would appear that my family is enjoying the "extra" hour of sleep. Since I had some time I nosed around your blogs a bit & loved the sneak peeks into your life. Very inspiring. Loved the pictures of the road signs. Too funny. Blessings!
