I've been a little quiet here the past few days
so I just thought I would break the silence.
We haven't been up to much.
Just keeping busy in our empty house.
We've been playing, cleaning, shopping,
eating, washing laundry, fellowshipping, etc...
Since Daddy is away, we decided to go out to eat last night.
The children were thrilled that I took them
to one of their favorite restuarants.
It's a buffet-style restuarant so they got to pick what they really liked.
They all ate very well and were excited about dessert.
I even got them all to try something new...
chocolate covered strawberries. mmmmmmmm....
Will wasn't too sure about them. Ally couldn't really eat them.
Beth liked them and Carolynne devoured them! She's our eater.
It was a very enjoyable time with my precious children,
although Daddy was sorely missed.
We are continuing in fervent prayer for our housing situation.
I'm afraid that since the movers came, a couple of weeks ago,
I haven't done much 'school' with Will.
Ally has done much on her own, with what she has with her.
I hope to begin reading aloud for history and science
with Will, starting tomorrow.
At first, when the movers came and emptied our house,
we were enjoying the newness of the empty space
and finding ways to fill our time.
We are still having an enjoyable time doing that
but I can see the newness is wearing off a bit
so I hope to add a little bit of structure
by starting up our reading aloud again.
With that said, I should head off to bed
so I can wake in the morning to drink my coffee,
spend quiet time with my Lord,
and enter into a new day.
Good night...
"I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:
for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety."
~ Psalm 4:8
"...thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet."
~ Proverbs 3:24b
