Welcome to HsKubes' HomeSchool Haven

Tending to our sheep...

" Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks,
and to look well to thy herds."
~ Proverbs 27:23

A conservative, Christian, military family's journey in relaxed home education. A haven where academics are secondary to spiritual things and we strive to aim our precious 'arrows' toward the Lord Jesus Christ.

Tuesday's Tidbits: Food, Fun, Fellowship, and Singing...

Posted in Daily Life

Today we awoke to a day filled with rain.

We had hoped to go to the beach today

but since it was too wet out, we visited friends instead.

As we were getting ready, Will and the lil' girls were at the couch.

Will was reading one of the books from our "Sir Cumference" series

to the girls as Beth tried to help Carolynne put her socks on...

It was very sweet of him.

You might be able to tell by the photo

that Carolynne wasn't very interested in letting Beth help.

She was more interested in playing.

I praised Beth for her efforts and finished up so we could leave.

When we got there, we got ready for lunch.

The older ones ate lunch together at the table...

While the younger ones ate at the counter...

After lunch, we enjoyed a yummy chocolate cake. Mmmmmm...

The children were glad, also, to play and fellowship.

Will enjoyed playing with his friends...

The lil' girls enjoyed playing, too, but not just with toys and friends...

Ally was more than thrilled to be able to play on the piano.

We are all going through piano withdrawl at our house

so it was wonderful to hear her play, again.

And it was special to be able to sing with her, again...

We enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship with our friends.

We really appreciated that they opened their home to us (again).

It sure makes for a great day when you are blessed

to have sweet fellowship with dear friends.

We look forward to tomorrow, when Daddy will be home!

Good night for now...
